2014 Sanlam Knysna Awards launched

The second annual Sanlam Knysna Awards kicked off last week with the announcement by organisers that the nomination stage is open.

The awards honour exceptional local companies and businesses, community leaders, brands and industry leaders “who make us proud to be a local,” says organiser and founder of the awards, Pieter Cloete.

“We are looking to acknowledge, reward and encourage Knysna enterprises that produce quality products which make Knysna competitive in the fields of technology, trade and investment,” said Cloete.

The awards also recognise community leaders and people determined to spur change in their communities and develop a culture of giving.

“We want to honour truly Knysna brands across the various sectors which benefit the local economy through the creation of jobs and advance our town’s quest for innovation, quality and productivity. In this way we believe we can create a platform for enterprises of all sizes and from all industries to learn best practices from each other and promote and encourage entrepreneurship and social change.”
